Precautions for Preschool Students

It’s the first step of your child in a public place. They are sharing their food and water bottles, touching each other and playing together. You must be aware to protect your child from any type of transmitted diseases.

Before starting, the kids must be vaccinated. Few basic booster doses can protect your child from dozens of diseases up to teenage.

MenACWY Vaccine

Meningococcal meningitis can be caused by various organisms such as bacteria, fungi, or several kinds of viruses. It can be transmitted from person-to-person through respiratory droplets.

Meningococcal meningitis can be prevented by timely vaccination. The vaccine could be applied between 9 to 24 months of age.

MMR Booster Dose

Measles is a highly contagious, serious viral disease that infects the respiratory tract and spreads throughout the body. Measles is transmitted through respiratory droplets from infected individuals through coughing and sneezing or through direct contact.

A second dose of MMR could be applied for your child before school starts. Most children do not have side effects after vaccination, but few could be affected with mild fever, minor rash or temporary pain.

DTaP/IPV Vaccination for Preschool Students

DTaP/IPV vaccination is important for preschool students. This vaccination works against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio. It is normally applied at 3 years of age.

Very few children could get mild side effects like irritability, mild fever, loss of appetite and redness/swelling at the injection site. It will cover the protection until their teenage years.
