How to Apply Step by Step?

Step 1: Open the home page of SVMCM Official Website (https://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in/) Scholarship tab to open the web portal of Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship in any browser and click on Registration option on the right side of the menu.

Step 2: Please download the operation manual before proceeding for registration, by clicking on Download User Manual button and also read the Instructions given in the page. After that click on the checkbox to agree terms and then Proceed for Registration.

Step 3: Choose appropriate Directorate and then click on Apply for Fresh application.

Step 4: Online Registration: Fresh Application Process: For Fresh Application, fill up the Registration form and then Click on Register button. Obtained Marks, Total Marks and Obtained Percentage of applicants from Qualifying Examination Board of WBBSE or WBCHSE or WBSCT&VE&SD (for Lateral) will be filled up automatically.

Note: that, if an applicant selects 2019 as Year of Last Qualifying Exam, then an extra field will appear where the applicant has to enter a reason for not applying for SVMCM Scholarship in 2019.

Step 5: After clicking on the Register button, enter the OTP sent to the mobile no. given at the time of registration. After successful verification of Mobile No., an Applicant Id will be generated. The Login Credentials will be sent to your registered mobile no and an email containing the Applicant ID and a copy of Registration Slip will also be sent to your registered Email ID. Note down the Id for subsequent login to complete rest of the Application Process and also for future use.

Step 6: Step 6: Now click on Applicant Login option from any of the pages. Enter the Applicant Id, Password (Which was set during registration process) and Security Code in the appeared pop-up. Then click on the Login button.

Step 7: After successful login, Dashboard of the concerned applicant will be appeared. Click on Edit Profile or Edit Application to continue the application process. Application process for Fresh and Kanyashree are same.

Step 8: At first fill up the Basic Details form and then click on Save & Continue button. Star marked fields are mandatory fields. Please maintain the File Format and File Size of Image and Signature t the time of upload of the same as mentioned in the form. In the Basic Details form, applicants only have to upload the image and signature as the other fields are already filled up during the time of the registration.

Step 9: After successful submission of Basic Details form, Personal Details form will be appeared. Fill up the form and then click on Save & Continue button. Star marked fields are mandatory fields. While entering the Bank Details, enter the correct IFSC, Bank Name and Branch Name will automatically be fetched.

Step 10: Upload Scanned Supporting Documents form will appear after successful submission of Personal Details form. Upload all the necessary documents as required and then click on Submit Application button. While uploading the documents, please maintain the File Format and File Size as instructed in the form. 
Note : A Pop-up will be appeared for Fresh Applicants regarding the Competent Authorities for Issuing Income Certificate. Close the Pop-up before uploading douments. An extra field regarding Income Certificate Issuing will also be appeared for Fresh applicants. Make sure that the income certificate is issued from the mentioned authorities. Otherwise It may not be accepeted.

Step 11: After successful uploading of the documents, a success message will be displayed. Applicants may download the Application details by clicking on the Download Application Details button. Click on Submit Application button to submit the application.

  • Note that, once an application is submitted, it cannot be edited unless the application is unlocked from concerned HOI end.
  • To view the Profile/Application, click on View Profile option in Dashboard or click on View Application option under Application Details tab in Menu area. To track application activity, click on Track Profile button, given on the dashboard.
  •  To retrieve Applicant Id/Password click on Forgot Applicant Id/Password option on the Login pop-up from the Applicant login option.
  • Select what is to retrieve from the given option and then click on the Proceed button. After selecting a option the relevant form will be appeared.
  • Select Applicant Type, Mobile No. and Security Code and then click the Proceed button. An OTP will sent to the mobile no., registered in SVMCM Application. Enter the correct OTP and then click Verify button.
  • After successful authentication your Applicant Id will be shown on your screen.
  • Select Applicant Type, enter Applicant ID, Mobile No, registered in SVMCM application. An OTP will sent to the mobile no., registered in SVMCM Application. Enter the correct OTP and then click Verify button
  • After successful submission of new password a success message will be shown.
  • To change Profile Password, Click on Reset Password option under Setting tab in Menu area. First enter the Existing Password, then New Password for confirmation and Captcha. Click on Update Password button.

How to Apply for CSC Scholarship 2023?

Following simple and easy application procedure will help you to apply for Chinese Government Scholarship:

  1. Apply online for the scholarship on the official portal in English or Chinese language.
  2. Choose the type of scholarship like A, B or C and the agency number or university code.
  3. Attach the required documents.
  4. After finishing the online application step by step, download it.
  5. Choose the university in China.
  6. Submit the application on that university’s website and attach your Chinese Government Scholarship application.
  7. In case the university does not support online then send the set of documents to the University address.
  8. The results will be published on the month of July. After that the required documentation to process the study visa.

Required Documents of CSC scholarships

a) Application Form (in Chinese or English): The Application Form will be created automatically after the correct filling through Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (CGSIS).

  1. Valid Passport Information Page (scanned copy0. 
  2.  Highest Education certificates (notarized photocopy). An applicant who is pursing the course can submit the certificate of current status issued by university. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
  3.  Academic Transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
  4. Language Qualification Certificates. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK reports in accordance with the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements. Applicants for other language-taught programs shall provide relevant language proficiency certificates according to the universities’ requirements, like IELTS or TOFEL report.
  5. Admission Documents. To apply for master’s and doctoral degree or as general and senior scholars, applicants shall provide admission documents issued by the applied universities. Admission documents include admission notice, pre-admission letter, invitation from professors and etc. Applicants with admission documents will obtain the priority in winning the Chinese Government Scholarship.
  6. A Study Plan or Research Proposal in Chinese or English. (A minimum of 200 words for undergraduates, 500 words for non-degree students, and 800 words for postgraduates.)
  7.  Recommendation Letters. Applicants for graduate programs or senior scholar programs must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
  8. Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the attached Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
  9. Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

What the Scholarship Covers

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the full financial support of studying at Cambridge. It also provides additional supports.

Core Funding:

  • The University Tuition Fee
  • A maintenance allowance for a single student is about £17,848 for 12 months, for PhD scholars the award is for up to 4 years.
  • One economy single airfare at both the beginning and end of the course.
  • Inbound visa costs & the cost of the Immigration Health Surcharge.

Additional Funding:

The Gate Cambridge also considers applications for several types of additional funding on a discretionary basis:

  • Academic development support : £500 to £2,000 to attend conferences and courses.
  • Family allowance : Up to £10,120 for single child and up to £14,440 for two or more children.
  • Fieldwork : you may apply to keep up to your normal maintenance allowance while on fieldwork as part of your PhD.
  • Maternity/Paternity support : Up to 6 months and continue to receive your maintenance allowance during this time.
  • Hardship support : for unforeseen difficulties.

How to apply for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship?

First of all you should know in detail about requirements, deadlines, supporting documents of the scholarship and the course you are going to study.  etc before to apply. Be mentally prepare then only you can apply for scholarship.

You have to submit your application through the Applicant Portal. Once you have selected your course in the Course Directory, click the Apply Online button to be directed to the Applicant Portal.

For PhD program, you have to discuss your research with a potential supervisor. Follow the steps to contact a supervisor:

  1. Using the Course Directory, choose your program.
  2. On your program’s page, under “Key Information”, click on “Course on Department Website”.
  3. Once you are on the program’s website, look for “CDT board”, “Contact”, “Academic Team”. Get the email address of a supervisor that you can contact.

If you are shortlisted for interview, you will be invited for a 30 minutes interview. Finally you have to go through the interview by Skype or any other app.

The Ministry of Education in Japan offers scholarships to international students to study in Japan. MEXT scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for international students. The scholarship is applicable for PhD, Masters and Undergraduate students. IELTS/TOEFL is not mandatory for this scholarship, but you need to have the knowledge of Japanese language. 

The scholarships are applied through the Japanese embassy in your country. Normally the Application cycle of the MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship is announced in April.

Eligibility Criteria for MEXT Scholarship 2022 - 2023
