Admission Requirements for International Students

International Student admission requirements are varied based on different universities in various countries. The basic requirements are enlisted here, please know detail about it.

  • Application Fees declared by the university

Application Fees: Whenever the candidate applies online on the university official website, the application fee must be paid to the university. The application fee can vary depending on subject and university. You can pay the application fee online by using credit card net banking or other ways.

Academic Records: The candidate need to upload the photocopy of all last exam transcripts.

English Proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS): English proficiency test is mandatary for international students. Most of the countries accept TOEFL or IELTS. In case of TOEFL the minimum score should be 90 and for IELTS it is 6.5

Curriculum Vieta(CV): The canditate need to produce and upload a well written CV.

Statement of Purpose(SOP): This is the declaration about yourself. You need to describe your background in detail. You also need to specify your interest about what you are going to study.

Financial Certificate: You need to show that you are capable to pursue your study financially. You may have loan or asset. You need to prove that you can cover the entire expenditure for study. This is not required for full-funded PhD students.

Students Visa and I-20: If you are eligible to get admission, the university sends you a I-20 form. After getting I-20 you have to apply for student visa.

Health Insurance: Whenever you ready to go you have to produce a health insurancy.

How to Apply for Admission Aboard?

Applying to abroad universities is a few step process. You need to allot knowledge about different universities related to your subject. 1. Find Your Program Interest

Pick a program in your interest that is matched with your previous academics. Know about your eligibility declared by the university for the specific program. You can co-ordinate with the responsible person of that university for help by mail or messase.

2. Find the Admission Requirements

Make sure that you are eligible for the specific program. Know the required documents to submit for admission. It is important to know the acceptance rate of the program of the university.

3. What Documents You Need to Gather?

  • All transcripts of previous degree
  • English Proficiency score card
  • Latest CV
  • Statement of Purpose(SOP)
  • Recommendation letters (minimum three)
  • Passport

 

4. Qualify the Entrance Exam

Sometimes you need to qualify the entrance exam. Check what type of exam declared by the university for that program. There are few common exams listed below.

  • Aptitude Tests: GRE, GMAT and SAT
  • English Proficiency Tests: TOEFL/IELTS/ PTE

 

5. Interview

School/ University will verify your entire documents. If you are eligible, you need go through a direct communication with them. They could ask you several common questions. Few common question listed below.

  • Why do you choose the university to study?
  • What is your personal and academic background?
  • What is your future plan?
  • How do you manage finance?

Questions may vary related to anything. You have to be very honest and answer confidently.

6. Book a Visa Appointment

After cracking the interview you are eligible to take admission in that university. The university will send you a confirmation and I-20 form. As soon as you get I-20 form you need to book visa appointment. Visa appointment is a lengthy process. Sometimes it takes more than month to book slot for appointment.   • Valid Passport  
  • I-20 form issued by the university
  • SEVIS fee receipt
  • Visa application fee receipt
  • Bank Statements

 

7. Financial Proof

At the time of visa interview, you could ask few questions. One basic question is, how do you manage the finance. So, you have to prove the capability to cover the entire expenditure to pursue study there. If you are not fully paid scholarship then need to provide proof of finance by savings, loans or assets.
